Objectives:

The prevalence of uremia patients in Kenya continues to grow rapidly, and the irregular operations in the current blood purification treatment process bring a high risk of acute complications, chronic complications and cross-infection, which will lead to greater patient suffering and more social resource consumption.

It is hoped that through this training, comprehensive blood purification-related training can be provided for doctors, nurses and technicians practicing blood purification in Kenya, so as to achieve homogeneous and standardized operations, reduce adverse events related to blood purification, and help the benign development of Kenya＇s blood purification industry.

Programs:

(1) Setting of the blood purification room (venue, personnel, equipment)

(2) Management of reverse osmosis water system and management of central liquid supply

(3) Chronic kidney disease and its complications

(4) Hemodialysis start timing and mode selection

(5) Basic concepts and mode selection of blood purification treatment

(6) Maintenance and use of vascular access for hemodialysis

(7) Urea kinetic model and the concept of dialysis adequacy

(8) Prevention of cross-infection in hemodialysis rooms

(9) Standardized operation of hemodialysis

(10) Handling of emergencies during hemodialysis

(11) Quality control of hemodialysis

(12) Online exam (0.5 hours of pre-test tutoring, 1.5 hours of questionnaire star answers)；

(13) Analysis of exam questions (1.5 hours).
