International Training Workshop on Grain Legume Molecular Breeding and Cultivation Technique

Objectives:

Grain legumes are important source of protein in human diet. This training workshop aims to introduce the theory and technology for the molecular breeding and cultivation in grain legumes. We hope to promote the development and application of this advance in developing countries, and increase their capacity in raising grain legumes production, green cultivation technique for strengthen efficiency and production, alleviating resource shortage and improving environment. Meanwhile, we hope to present the achievements and advances on grain legumes research in China, find out the need of technique and variety of Asian developing countries and strengthen the bilateral cooperation and international exchanges between China and the other Asian developing countries.

1. The current status and prospect of Grain legumes;

2. Marker assisted breeding technique for grain legumes

3. The nutritional components analysis of grain legumes

4. Genomics and bioinformatics study for grain legumes

5. Molecular biological technique training

6. Transgenic technique training

7. Visiting national key facility and national gene resource bank

8. Soybean cultivation technique introduction and mechanics demonstration
