The 8th China-Ukraine Science and Technology Cooperation Commission Meeting was held on June 21-22 in Kiev, capital city of Ukraine. Chinese Vice Minister CAO Jianlin of Science and Technology and Ukrainian Vice Minister Sulima E. N. of Education and Science were present at the event.

During the meeting, the two sides talked about their science and technology policies, measures and progress and exchanged ideas on the status quo and the prospect of science and technology cooperation. Leaders from the two sides also listened to reports on joint programs launched at the previous meeting and discussed programs from 2011 to 2012. After the meeting, the two sides signed the Protocol on the 8th China-Ukraine Science and Technology Cooperation Commission Meeting.
