Objectives:
To promote the S£¦T cooperation and exchange between China and Bangladesh; to solve technical bottlenecks in the extension of Chinese hybrid rice to Bangladesh, and further enable local customers to acquire hybrid rice technology.
Programs:
1. Basic theory of hybrid rice technology;
2. The 3-step development idea in hybrid rice breeding, namely from inter-varietal to iner-sibspecofoc, and then distant heterosis utilization in terms of heterosis as well as from3-line (A, B and R lines) to 2-line (PGMS OR TGMS and lines), and then 1-line (apomixes);
3. Techniques on breeding, seed production and cultivation of hybrid rice;
4. Seminars;
5. Field visits.
